1. Scope and authoritative policy
This page summarizes the Cloud policy published on the app site. It is not a replacement contract. Read the linked full policy for all conditions; that document is the reference for UnitDeck Cloud.
UnitDeck Local remains a separate, free, offline-first Windows app. It does not require a Cloud plan, a UnitDeck account, a trial or a Paddle payment.
2. Free trial
A new organization receives a 30-day trial from workspace creation, with no payment method required. If the trial ends without a subscription, the workspace becomes read-only: data can still be viewed and exported, but new work cannot be saved until a plan is purchased. The separately arranged six-week pilot is not the same offer as this standard trial.
The 30-day no-card trial is not a 30-day money-back guarantee. Refunds for a paid subscription follow the full Cloud Refund and Cancellation Policy linked below.
3. Cancellation and refunds
Cancel any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not automatically refund charges already paid. Refunds and mandatory consumer rights are covered by the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Moving to a higher-priced plan takes effect immediately, with the prorated difference charged for the rest of the billing period. Moving to a lower-priced plan also takes effect immediately; the difference is credited against the next renewal. Enterprise changes are agreed by contract, not self-service.
4. First subscription payment
If you are not satisfied, request a refund within 14 days of the first subscription payment for a full refund, no questions asked. The subscription ends when the refund is issued.
5. Monthly renewals
A monthly renewal is refundable if requested within 7 days of the charge and the workspace has not been used for new work since renewal. If refunded, the subscription ends immediately and the workspace becomes read-only.
6. Incorrect charges and service failure
Duplicate charges, charges after cancellation has taken effect, and charges for seats or storage you did not add are refunded in full when reported. If a fault on UnitDeck's side makes the service unavailable to your organization for a substantial part of a billing period, a refund or credit for that period may be requested.
7. Limits and Enterprise contracts
Cancellation alone does not refund a partial period. Added seats, storage blocks and mid-period upgrades are not refunded separately, though the whole-payment refund rules still apply. Periods used for ordinary work are not refundable except within the first-payment 14-day window or another applicable policy exception. Enterprise refunds follow the separate contract.
8. How to request a refund
Email support@unitdeckstudio.com from the workspace account address with the organization name and Paddle receipt or transaction reference. Refund requests receive a response within 3 business days. You can also contact Paddle through your receipt or paddle.net. Approved refunds are issued through Paddle to the original payment method and usually appear within 5–10 business days, depending on the bank or card issuer. The subscription and access consequences are described in the full policy.
9. Mandatory rights and full policy
Nothing in this summary or the Cloud policy reduces mandatory legal rights. The service is intended for business use; consumer rights apply where the relevant law grants them. Read the full app policy for statutory rights, exclusions and payment-dispute details.
